In the summer of 2023 I spend 3 months as the animation thrive intern at Duolingo! It was a wonderful experience and I was able to work on a lot of cool things.
My introductory presentation to the art team!
An initial exercise to get used to the Duolingo World Characters.
An animatic created by the lovely Denisse Mari Aguilar and myself. We wanted to showcase a super short story about the friendship between two of Duolingo's most beloved characters- Lily and Zari.
The first round of rough animation! You will notice that the characters are pretty off model and that the movement isn't finalized yet.
